DOMESTIC DEMOLITION
What sorts of buildings do Pioneer Demolition demolish?
House Demolition
Many self-build plots now involve knocking down an existing house that is not worth restoring or extending and must be demolished and the site cleared to make way for a newly built house.
Outbuilding Demolition
We can demolish all types of building, large or small and safely remove all waste materials.
Garage Demolition
Many garages might include asbestos materials and we are licenced to demolish and remove all waste materials.
Greenhouse Demolition
We have dismantled and demolished many greenhouses. We will re-use and re-cycle as much as we can to help reduce costs.
Do I need permission to demolish a building?
Demolition is covered by the Building Act 1984. Normally, at least six weeks notice should be given to the Local Authority Building Control before demolition begins.
The Local Authority Building Control may decide to issue a notice to specify conditions that need to be met which may include precautions to protect adjoining properties and the public.
Pioneer Demolition will ensure that demolition work complies with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 and we will produce a Health and Safety plan. We will ensure that Building Regulations relating to site preparation and resistance to contaminants and moisture will be met once the preparation work starts on the site.
